  • We restore all types of ceramics such as Earthenware, Stoneware, Pottery, Porcelain, and Bone People's republic of china, and nosotros take different approach in selecting materials and techniques for repair of each particular type. For example, the porous trunk of Earthenware objects requires circumspection with cleaning and gluing because some chemicals and even water can penetrate the clay and make irreversible harm to this precious item. Objects made of Stoneware and Pottery are glued with suitable adhesive formulated for soft paste bodies, other than for Porcelain and Bone Red china. The choice of paints and glazes as well depends on the ceramics type. Affect-upward with paints should be minimized when dealing with porous and not-fired objects.
  • In our restoration studio we utilise compatible and reversible constructed materials. The invisible restoration is possible simply for fired, glazed objects. In this case nosotros finish the repaired area with matching pigment and clear coating (matte or gloss) that is practical over the original glazed surface. We strive to keep integrity of your heirloom or collectible and do not use over painting and destructive techniques such as making groves for chipped areas or grinding the edges of misaligned parts. If the previously repaired item is non glued right, we can remove the old gum and reassemble it. Unfortunately we accept seen so many fine art objects with grinded surfaces and scratched original glazes past using regular sand paper instead of drinking glass sand newspaper. Cipher tin exist more disappointing than to see the fine particular damaged past unprofessional effort to repair it.
